Dear BHS Students & Parents/Guardians:

I hope you are well, and I hope you are enjoying summer. I’ve included information below to help you and your families plan for 2025-26. I will be in touch later this summer with other details.

Sincerely,
Dan Mills

Daily Schedule Information

Bozeman High operates on an alternating block schedule consisting of four class periods per day. Each class is eighty minutes in length and meets every other day:

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, students have a forty-minute intervention/extension period called Hawk Time. During this period, students meet with teachers for extra support, make-up opportunities, accommodations for specific needs, and extended learning.

On Wednesdays, students have a late start–school begins at 9:35. Teachers use the late start as dedicated time to collaborate in teacher teams. Buses run at normal times on Wednesdays. Any students who arrive early have a safe space to study in our building before the school day begins.

2025-26 Annual Student Forms

In July, parents/guardians will be notified by Bozeman Public Schools that they need to complete the Annual Student Forms. These forms are mandatory and must be done every year for each student. Please wait until you receive the district email in July to complete the forms.

2025-26 Student Schedules

Final student schedules will be available in PowerSchool on the evening of August 22 for families who have completed the Annual Student Forms, and on the evening of August 24 for those who have not filled out the forms. Students will not be given a copy of their schedule on the first day of school, so please bring your own copy.

Schedules are carefully created based on students’ initial course registrations. It is not always possible to change student schedules once they are created. Students wishing to request a change to their initial course registration for next year should use this form. Counselors will consider these requests and determine if changes are possible. Additionally, counselors and administration will be available for schedule review days the week before school at these times:

  • Juniors/Seniors - Wednesday, August 27, 12:00-4:00 p.m.
  • Freshmen/Sophomores - Thursday, August 28, 12:00-4:00 p.m.

Counselor Assignments
School counselors work with all grade levels based on a student’s last name. Please see below for the counseling department’s alphabetical breakdown for the 2025-26 school year.
