Student WiFi Access
Bozeman Public Schools has been in the process of changing its WiFi network access. The new protocol is a critical component of the district’s network security strategy, ensuring that only authorized devices and users have access to the network.
Beginning February 10, students will not be able to access the WiFi network using personal cell phones or personal computers. Only district-issued devices will be able to connect to the district WiFi network in school.
Students’ district-issued Chromebooks will connect to the WiFi network automatically. Students should ensure that they have access to their Chromebook and that their Chromebook is charged. Students should do this in advance of February 10. If a student does not have a district-issued Chromebook or if they are encountering any issues with their Chromebook, they should visit the Berg Library in school as soon as possible to speak with our teacher-librarians.
Advanced Opportunities Career Pathways
Bozeman Public Schools is working hard to build career pathways in our high schools that connect our career and technical education (CTE) courses to dual-credit and workplace learning opportunities. Karl Schwartz, previously a Bozeman High CTE teacher, has moved into a new position as Career Outreach Coordinator to lead the charge. Karl has built this website to provide information about the exciting career pathways work in our CTE department.
One exciting program anticipated for the 2025-26 school year is the launch of Construction Academy, a dual-credit construction trades class for students at Bozeman and Gallatin High Schools. This public-private collaboration will provide students with hands-on experience in the construction field, starting with building sheds and with hopes of eventually expanding to the construction of single family homes to support employee housing challenges. Bozeman Public Schools is seeking financial or in-kind support from construction industry partners to get this off the ground. Click here for details on the request for support.
