New Exhibit at Bozeman High's DeWeese Gallery

The Bozeman High Art Club is hosting Maren Stubenvoll's exhibit “Hold Your Horses” now through May 7. The pieces of the “Hold Your Horses” installation aim to subvert the traditional narrative of western art–one with a rich history of depicting violence. Be it the bloody expansion westward, cowboy shootouts, destruction of land, or questionable hunting ethics, traditional western art has no shortage of suffering. This collection of pieces reimagines and highlights the west as a colorful utopia of beauty, humility, humor, and undeniable interconnectedness of humanity and the land.

The DeWeese Gallery is located at 205 N. 11th Ave within the walls of Bozeman High School. The gallery is free and open to the public during normal school hours. If you are a visitor, please check in at the main office.
