September 6, 2024 Dear BHS Students & Parents/Guardians: It was great to have students back in the building this week! I appreciate the energy in the hallways and the kindness of our students. Next week is our first full week. I’ve included below a snapshot of the week’s schedule. Our full bell schedule and Red/Black schedule can be found here on the Bozeman High website.

Back to School NightBack to School Night is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, at 6:30 p.m. This evening provides an opportunity for parents/guardians to become familiar with your student’s teachers and schedule. Here is the invitation with all of the details. Armed Intruder VideoKeeping our schools safe and ensuring a productive learning environment is of the utmost importance to all schools in the Bozeman School District. Throughout the school year, we conduct multiple safety drills to educate students about what to do in an emergency and to help students minimize concerns. On Friday, September 13, Bozeman High School will present an armed intruder video to students. This video was updated during the 2021-22 school year. This video, which is specific to our school, will help students be prepared in the unlikely event of an armed intruder. We encourage you to preview the video by clicking here. We ask that you refrain from sharing this link. We recognize that the content of this video is concerning to students. School counselors and administrators are available to speak with students after the video or any time they have questions. If you would like additional information on school safety in general, please go to the BSD7 School Safety & Security page. We encourage you to talk with your student about the video. If you have questions or concerns please contact Dan Mills at 406.522.6200. A Message from Your Bozeman High PACWelcome to the school year! We are excited to have our principal, Dan Mills, come to speak about the 2024-25 school year, with focus on the new block schedule. Please bring your questions and join us on September 11 at 11:30 in N253, next to the Berg Library. Please sign in at the main office on 11th Ave. If you are interested in serving on the PAC team, we will have three vacancies next year and will not be able to continue serving the teachers and students without a support team. Activities Passes Available on Go FanBozeman Public Schools has added the option to purchase activities season passes on GoFan this school year. Please click here for an information sheet with instructions on how to purchase passes. This option allows purchasers to transfer a pass one time to another family member so that the ticket is on the correct person's phone. With a Family Pass purchase, the pass can be transferred to up to six additional people. All passes are valid for the 2024-25 school year. With this option, your phone is your pass, so there is no need to come in to pick up passes. School Supplies Available at The ShelfAny students/families in need of new school supplies may visit The Shelf in D111. New Exhibit at the DeWeese GalleryThe Robert and Gennie DeWeese Gallery is kicking off the school year with a fun exhibition titled "Rhythm and Whimsy" by Richard Swanson. We will have the exhibition open for the first week of school and it will run until October 25. Richard Swanson began this series of small-scale metal sculptures in 2013 after a decade of creating monumental public sculpture. The DeWeese Gallery is located at 205 N. 11th Ave within the walls of Bozeman High School. The gallery is free and open to the public during normal school hours. If you are a visitor, please check in at the main office. After Prom Fundraiser
